Why isn't my route being recorded?

RunSplit needs location permission to draw your route. Open Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › RunSplit and choose Always. "While Using the App" works for short runs, but long runs and background workouts need "Always" so the route keeps recording when your screen locks.

The Smart Coach isn't speaking.

Open the App's Settings and check the Smart Coach section β€” make sure the relevant Speak on… toggles (start, pace, splits, finish) are on. On devices without Apple Intelligence, RunSplit uses a bundled template coach so lines may be shorter, but speech should still work as long as your device volume and silent switch allow it.

Music Mixer isn't swapping playlists between WORK and REST.

Make sure you've granted Apple Music library access when prompted, and that Music Mixer is enabled in the workout setup sheet with playlists selected for each phase. If playback still doesn't switch, stop and restart the workout so the mixer can re-queue from your library.

How do I delete a run?

In the Recent Runs list, swipe the run left (or long-press it) and tap Delete. You can also open the run's detail view and use the menu in the top-right to remove it. Runs written to Apple Health can be removed separately from the Health app.

Can I use RunSplit without an Apple Watch?

Yes. RunSplit is fully featured on iPhone alone β€” intervals, GPS route, pace, calories, Smart Coach, and Music Mixer all work without a Watch. The Apple Watch companion is optional and mirrors the same workouts for a more glanceable experience on your wrist.
