Terms of Use (EULA)

By downloading or using CoFasting 16:8 ("the App"), these terms will automatically apply to you. Please read them carefully before using the App.

1. Standard Apple EULA

The App is licensed to you, not sold. Your use of the App is subject to your prior acceptance of Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA"), which can be found at Apple's website.

2. Health & Safety Disclaimer

CoFasting is a timer and a tracking tool. It is not a medical device and it does not provide medical advice. Changing when or whether you eat can affect your health.

• Speak with a qualified health professional before changing how you eat — particularly if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, taking medication (especially for diabetes or blood pressure), living with a medical condition, or have any history of disordered eating.
• The App does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything, and makes no promise about weight, body composition, energy or any other outcome.
• The fasting stages the App displays — Fed, Glycogen, Ketosis, Autophagy — are time-based educational estimates. They are labels attached to elapsed hours. They are not measurements of your body and the App has no way to observe your metabolic state.
• Nutrition estimates are approximations. Calories and macros generated from a text description are best guesses and should not be relied on for any clinical or dietary purpose.
• Stop and seek medical attention if you feel faint, unwell, or unusually weak. No timer is worth your health.

3. Subscriptions & Purchases

The App is free to use for its core function: the 16:8 schedule, the timer, your history, and CSV export.

CoFasting Plus is an optional upgrade available as an auto-renewable subscription (3 months or 12 months) or as a one-time purchase. Prices are shown in the App in your local currency before you buy.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• The one-time purchase is not a subscription and does not renew.

4. Partner Sharing

Partner co-fasting works through Apple's CloudKit Sharing using your own iCloud. When you invite someone, you choose to share your fasting presence — display name, whether a fast is running, and its start and planned end time — with that person. Your food log is never shared. Either side can unlink at any time.

You are responsible for who you send an invitation to. Do not share an invite link with anyone you do not intend to give this information to.

5. Privacy

How the App handles your information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary: no account, no third-party analytics, and your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud.

6. Your Data

You own your data and can export all of it to CSV at any time, free, from Settings inside the App. We do not operate a server that holds your fasting history, so we cannot retrieve it for you if you delete it. Keep your own exports if the history matters to you.

7. Availability

Some features depend on Apple services and hardware outside our control — iCloud and CloudKit for sync and partner sharing, Apple Intelligence for on-device food notes, AlarmKit for alarms. These may be unavailable on some devices, in some regions, or at some times. The App is designed to keep working without them, with the affected feature disabled.

8. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the App, including any decision you make about eating.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the App following the posting of changes will mean that you accept and agree to the changes.
