Frequently Asked Questions

My partner invite isn't working.

Partner co-fasting uses iCloud, so both people need to be signed in to iCloud on their device with iCloud Drive enabled. Check Settings › Apple Account › iCloud. If the link opens but nothing happens, make sure both of you are on the latest version of the App. You can always unlink and send a fresh invite from Settings.

Does my partner have to pay too?

No. Only the person sending the invite needs CoFasting Plus. Whoever accepts joins free and gets the full partner experience without paying anything.

The alarm didn't go off when my fast ended.

Alarms are opt-in. Turn them on in the App's Settings, and allow the permission when asked. Alarms cannot be tested properly in a simulator — they need a real device. If you declined the permission earlier, re-enable it in Settings › CoFasting 16:8.

Why can't I pick 18:6 or OMAD?

16:8 is free forever. The other five schedules — 12:12, 14:10, 18:6, 20:4 and OMAD — are part of CoFasting Plus. You can switch between them as often as you like once you have Plus.

Food logging says it isn't available.

Plain-language food notes use Apple Intelligence, which needs a supported device with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri. On devices without it, the App falls back to a simple built-in estimate list so you can still log meals — the numbers are just rougher.

Are the calorie numbers accurate?

They're estimates, generated on your device from what you typed. Treat them as a rough guide and edit any number before saving. They are not suitable for clinical or medical use.

What do Fed, Glycogen, Ketosis and Autophagy mean here?

They're labels attached to how many hours have elapsed — 0h, 4h, 12h and 16h — used to make a long timer more interesting to watch. They are time-based educational estimates, not measurements of your body. The App has no way to observe your metabolic state.

How do I get my data out?

Settings › Export a CSV. It includes every fast and every food entry, and it's free in every version of the App. You can import a CSV back in too — re-importing the same file is safe, since anything already in your log is skipped.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual entries in the App, or delete the App to clear its local data. To remove synced data, go to Settings › Apple Account › iCloud › Manage Storage. There's no account to close, because there was never one to create.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPhone, choose CoFasting Plus, and cancel there. A one-time lifetime purchase never renews and needs no cancelling.

I restored my purchase but Plus isn't showing.

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with, then tap Restore on the Plus screen. If it still doesn't appear, email us with the date of purchase and we'll sort it out.
